Copland: 3 Latin American Sketches
Chausson: Poème de l’Amour et de la Mer
Tania Léon: Acana
Bizet: Symphony in C Major
Tania León’s new work Acana refers to a type of tree that is found only in the western hemisphere and grows in the rainforests of Cuba and other Caribbean countries. Ms. León says, “This tree is found in many different spots of the Americas, and, for me, it gives me the image that these roots are traveling from one place to the other without known traces.”
